Blackberry Questions
Once your battery has been discharged, your phone will attempt to conserve battery power by turning your radio off. Once you have recharged your battery the radio will remain off until you enable it. Please navigate to applications, manage connections, and place the check mark next to mobile network to restore your radio connection.

Blackberry now has the ability to have insurance. Insurance for the Blackberry is 5.99 per month and will cover your phone in the event it lost, stolen, or accidentally damaged. More information can be located by browsing to http://appalachian.esecuritel.com.

Navigate to Blackberry Messenger, select the applications button, and choose “add a contact”. The next screen will prompt to type in a Blackberry Pin, or an email address. Please type in the pin or email address for the person you wish to add. Once you select ok, it will send the request to the other user. Once the other user accepts this request he/she will be added to your list.

You have the ability to set up 10 personal e-mail accounts to be delivered to your Blackberry Device. You may also have an additional Blackberry e-mail address giving you a total of 11 different email accounts.

The most common reason your email will stop being delivered to your device is a password change on your email account. To resolve this issue please visit www.appw.blackberry.com, or navigate to the email setup icon on your Blackberry. Once here, please login with the user name and password you created when setting up your email. Once you have logged in, please select edit and update the password information for your email account.

Yes. A few things are required in order to use your Blackberry as a modem for your computer. First you would need to contact customer service, or visit a store location, to have the Blackberry Tethered Internet package added to your account. You will need Blackberry Desktop Software installed on your computer. This should be included in the box your blackberry came in. Once these things are completed, a representative can assist you in creating your new connection.

You can gain some additional space on your Blackberry by deleting two unnecessary items. First, navigate to applications, options, advanced options, and applications. Locate help, then select the application button and select delete. These are the help files, which are not commonly used on most Blackberry devices. The help files can be added back at any time. Next navigate to applications, media, videos, and sample videos. You will see a sample blackberry video, which can be deleted by selecting the applications button, delete, and selecting yes.

To set up a personal e-mail address on your Blackberry visit www.appw.blackberry.com , or navigate to the email setup wizard on your list of blackberry applications. Once you are on this page, follow the directions to create an account. Once you have an account created you will have the ability to walk through setting up your personal email accounts. During this setup process you will also have the ability to create a Blackberry e-mail address.

Once your Blackberry is out of memory it will attempt to create room so your applications will continue to work. To resolve this issue, please delete any unwanted email, pictures, ring tones, and videos from your device. Once you have removed your unwanted items please remove the battery and place it back in to reset your device. You may also add a memory card and move your ring tones, video, and pictures files to your memory card to free up additional space.

In order to install the latest software please visit the Blackberry Download Page Once you are on this site, please select your product from the drop down box. The next screen will list the most recent updates available for you to download. Once you have downloaded the desired update, please install it on your computer. Once you have installed the update, please open your Blackberry desktop software, connect your blackberry to the computer, and select application loader. Follow the directions to finish your update.
