Appalachian Wireless Referral Program
Were you referred to Appalachian Wireless by a friend? Thanks for checking us out! Here’s some information to help you get started…
It’s simple!
- If you are a potential new customer who hasn’t had an Appalachian Wireless account in the last 12 months, start by getting a referral code from a current customer.
- Open a new, qualifying postpaid account. Advance Pay and business accounts don’t qualify.
- After you open an account, create a login for MyAppwire, our online system where you can manage your account.
- Enter your referral code to redeem it.
- Wait 90 days. After that, if your account is still active with no past-due balance, you will get a $50 bill credit.
- You must be 18 or older.
- If you have had an account with Appalachian Wireless in the last 12 months, you are not eligible.
- You must open a new postpaid consumer account.
- Business accounts and Advance Pay accounts are not eligible.
- You can’t just transfer a line from an existing account. You must activate a new phone number or port a number from another carrier.
After you open your new account, log in to MyAppwire and enter your referral code. Don’t wait! The referral code is only good for 6 months from the time your friend requested it.
After you redeem your code, you must maintain your account with no past-due balance for 90 days. After that, the $50 bill credit should be applied to your next bill, but it may take up to 45 days.
There are a few reasons your code may not work:
- If your friend accidentally shared it with someone else and they used it first, it can’t be used again.
- Your code could be expired (6 months after your friend requested it).
- If the code was created after you opened your account, it won’t work. You must get the referral code before opening a new account.
Possible reasons:
- You will only have the option to redeem a code for the first 6 months after you start a new account.
- You will not see the option if you have an Advance Pay or business account.
- You won’t see the option if you have the employee or telco partner employee discount.
Yes. The referral credit can be combined with other device and plan promotions.

- You must be 18 or older.
- You must be the named account holder on an active postpaid consumer account. Advance Pay and business accounts are not eligible.
- Customers receiving an employee/telco partner employee discount are not eligible.
Yes! You can refer multiple friends. Each qualifying new account earns a $50 bill credit. For example, if you successfully refer 4 friends, you will receive $200 in bill credits.
There is no limit. So start sharing!
There is only one $50 bill credit for each friend you refer who meets all the requirements, regardless of the number of lines.
Yes. Referral codes expire 6 months after they are requested. In MyAppwire under “Refer a Friend,” you’ll see each code with the name, expiration date, and status.
- Created – Code made, friend has not redeemed it yet.
- Pending – Friend redeemed the code. Waits 90 days with both accounts active/on-time.
- Completed – All requirements met, $50 credit coming.
- Failed – Referral was not successful.
Possible reasons:
- You shared the same code with multiple people (it only works once).
- The code expired (6 months after creation).
- Your friend opened the account before you requested the code.
- Your friend has an employee/telco discount, Advance Pay, or business account.
- Your friend didn’t maintain the account in good standing for 90 days.
After your friend redeems the code, you both must maintain accounts with no past-due balance for 90 days. The credit should appear on the next bill (may take up to 45 days).
If your friend’s account is canceled or past due before 90 days, neither of you will receive the credit.
By participating, you agree that Appalachian Wireless can share info about you and your account status for referral verification. No other details will be shared.
