Can someone call 911 on the Xplora smartwatch?

Xplora smartwatches do not support calls to nationwide emergency numbers, such as 911 or E911. However, they can call certain local services if needed.

The watch also has an SOS function, which is designed to call the guardian’s phone automatically when activated in an emergency.

The SOS function is meant to contact guardians — such as parents or carers — not emergency services. This ensures that the first person your child reaches in a stressful situation is someone they know and trust. If your child needs to reach national emergency services, the call must be made from a regular phone.

Are there different versions of the activity platform?

Your Appalachian Wireless monthly plan provides access to the standard Activity Platform. For enhanced features, you have the option to upgrade to the premium version, available for purchase within the app through Xplora.

Can I purchase accessories for my Xplora watch?

Yes! The watch comes with a built-in screen protector and charger, but you can visit one of our retail stores to find fun accessories like colorful watch bands to fit your child’s style and personality!

What are the purchase options for the Xplora watch?

You have two options. You can either purchase it outright for the retail price, or you can spread the payments out over 6, 12, or 18 months with an Appalachian Advantage plan.

How many safe contacts can be added to the Xplora watch?

Up to 50 safe contact can be added through the Xplora app.

Can I purchase device insurance from Appalachian Wireless to cover the Xplora watch?

No.

Can the Xplora watch be used to make video calls?

No. Your child can only make voice calls to the approved contacts.

Are there any discounts available for the Xplora watch service plan?

Yes! The 5GB plan for the Xplora watch is $15 per month[1], but if the plan is on the same account as any Unlimited service – Unlimited (25 GB)[2], Unlimited (50 GB)[3], Unlimited Pro (75 GB)[4], Unlimited Ultra (100 GB)[5] – you get a $5 discount! Is the Xplora watch waterproof?
